A market of distinct segments

Scottsdale is not one market. Old Town and South Scottsdale offer condos, lock-and-leave living, and walkability. Central Scottsdale holds established single-family neighborhoods. North Scottsdale runs toward larger lots, gated communities, golf, and the higher-end price tiers.

Out-of-state and second-home buyers are a real part of demand here, which means the luxury segment can move on its own rhythm, somewhat independent of the entry-level metro.
